Position: Project Planning and Management

Job Description:

The applicant will have experience in managing a project from start to finish. This applicant will be able to create a plan of action which will consider a fixed timeline and evaluate risks. This candidate should also have experience managing people and be an effective communicator.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Management
  • Construct project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value.
  • Establish and lead project status and working meetings.
  • Prepare and distribute progress reports.
  • Administer risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.

Qualification:

  • A or BS or equivalent experience is required; MA or MS is a plus

Skills:

  • Very compelling interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Show ability to lead software development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met
  • Excellent of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools:
  • Agile Project Management tools such as Jira/Assembla. More tools may include Microsoft Project, Visio, and all Office Tools
  • Familiar with OKR methodology
  • Strong oral and written communications skills and experience collaborating with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
  • An innovative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
